"Cool Met Stuff" : Ellen - The Worst in 1980s

14 July 2017

There were only three occasions required the Observatory to issue Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 10 since 1980s (until 2017), in which Typhoon Ellen in 1983 was the most destructive. In the latest episode of "Cool Met Stuff", we took a look back at that disaster and the direct contact of the Observatory colleagues with Ellen at Chek Lap Kok. The video is now available on the "MyObservatory" mobile application and the Observatory's website for your viewing.
