26 February 2016

The cold air mass that brings freezing temperatures to subtropical region can be traced back all the way to the polar region. Conversely, large-scale intense cold air outbreak occurs from time to time but does it necessarily affect Hong Kong? The latest episode of "Cool Met Stuff" talks about the subtle relation between "Arctic Oscillation" phenomenon and southward intrusion of polar cold air mass. The video is now available on the "MyObservatory" mobile application and the Observatory's website for your viewing.
