"Cool Met Stuff" : The Observatory's "Beach Ball"

A new episode is now available at the "Cool Met Stuff" channel on the Observatory webpage and "MyObservatory" mobile application (programme is broadcasted in Cantonese).

Apart from "Kidney", forecasters of the Observatory also use a "Beach Ball" to predict the change in wind direction when a typhoon approaches Hong Kong. Why a "Beach Ball" has such a special function?
