Infrared satellite pictures of Typhoon Koppu on YouTube

| An animation of the infrared satellite pictures received by the Hong Kong Observatory from 13 to 15 September 2009 is now available at the Observatory's YouTube site at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWBxcYUvykg. It can be seen that Tropical Depression Koppu entered the South China Sea on 13 September 2009 and moved generally west-northwestwards, edging towards the coast of Guangdong gradually. Koppu intensified into a typhoon on the afternoon of 14 September and passed to the southwest of Hong Kong. It made landfall at over western Guangdong on the morning of 15 September. Koppu moved inland thereafter and dissipated gradually. |
