Global warming has led to fateful melting of polar glaciers and serious environmental impacts to our earth. It is imminent for us to combat climate change and mitigate its impacts. With the aims of enhancing public awareness on climate change, the Environmental Campaign Committee, the Polar Museum Foundation, the Environmental Protection Department, the Hong Kong Observatory and the Hong Kong Science Museum jointly organize the "Global Warming and Climate Variation" Seminar Series. In the first public seminar cum exhibition, Mr. Lam Chiu Ying, SBS, former Director of the Hong Kong Observatory and Dr. Rebecca Lee, founder of the Polar Museum Foundation have been invited to share their knowledge and insights with the public. Besides, the exhibition will showcase a large number of precious photos taken by Dr. Rebecca Lee during her polar expeditions to illustrate the close relationship between climate change and the Poles.
