New webpage on Storm Surge Records Database

29 June 2016

A new webpage on storm surge records in Hong Kong was launched today (http://www.weather.gov.hk/wservice/tsheet/pms/stormsurgedb_e.htm). Members of the public can access the webpage through the “Climatological Information Services” webpage. Besides searching for the highest sea levels and maximum storm surges recorded at tide gauge stations in Hong Kong for each tropical cyclone affected Hong Kong since 1953, members of the public can also check the rankings of those sea level and storm surges records through the webpage. The webpage also provides a summary of the significant storm surge records in Hong Kong before 1953.
