Weather Information for Astronomical Observation webpage (Beta Version) launched

The Hong Kong Observatory jointly launched the "Weather Information for Astronomical Observation" webpage together with the Hong Kong Space Museum and the Department of Physics of the University of Hong Kong (Figure 1) for trial operation today (17 March). This webpage provides a weather information platform for astronomical observation hot spots in Hong Kong to facilitate stargazers to better plan their astronomical observation activities. The webpage includes the latest all sky image, night sky brightness, weather observation information and digital weather forecast at Cape D'Aguilar, Shek Pik, Hong Kong Space Museum at Tsim Sha Tsui, Astropark and iObservatory at Sai Kung. Besides, the webpage also provides the latest star map and other useful astronomical information (Figure 2).
