The Observatory enhances satellite imagery services

The Observatory enhances its Internet satellite imagery services on 21 March 2017 with additional high resolution imageries covering the coast of Guangdong (Figure). The new imageries enable viewers to have a better appreciation of the weather conditions over Hong Kong and its vicinity. The Satellite Imagery of Interest page is also revamped and enhanced with animation feature which would improve the display of interesting weather phenomena on the imageries.
