3.5 Severe Typhoon Koinu (2314): 28 September to 9 October 2023

Infra-red satellite imagery at around 2 a.m. on 7 October 2023. The circulation of Koinu was compact with rather small coverage of the spiral rainbands. In addition, the maximum sustained wind near the centre of Koinu was estimated to be 165 km/h.
