The Observatory Delivers Weather News on Twitter

The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) today (15 September 2010) launched a trial service on Twitter website (http://twitter.com) to deliver latest weather warnings, including Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals, Rainstorm Warning Signals, Thunderstorm Warning, Landslip Warning, Special Announcement on Flooding in the northern New Territories, Very Hot Weather Warning, Cold Weather Warning, Strong Monsoon Signal, Fire Danger Warnings and Frost Warning. The Observatory's news is also provided through Twitter.

Twitter is a social networking website enabling users to send messages and read messages posted by other users. On following 'HKObservatory', HKO's official weather account on Twitter, the user will be kept posted with the latest weather news including the latest warnings in force.
