"Director's Blog" on sale

25 February 2010

The "Director's Blog" published by the Hong Kong Observatory is now on sale.

The former Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, Mr Lam Chiu-ying and present director Dr Lee Boon-ying have been writing blogs on the Observatory's website to communicate with the public in a light-hearted manner. The two directors talk about meteorology, respond to public opinions and share personal thoughts and feelings in their blogs, which have been well received by the public.

The book is a collection of the blogs written by the two directors from May 2008 to November 2009. Printed bilingually with full-colour illustrations, it is highly recommended for people who like the Director's blogs and those who do not often visit the internet but would like to know more about the thoughts and tidbits about the directors.

The book, at $72 a copy, is sold at the Hong Kong Observatory Resource Centre, the Publications Sales Unit of the Information Services Department, General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tuen Mun Central Post Office and Sha Tin Central Post Office. It is also available for sale online at the Government Bookstore at www.bookstore.gov.hk, details of which can be obtained through the telephone enquiry service of the Information Services Department on 2537 1910.
