Fine weather for East Asian Games opening

| The Hong Kong Observatory expects fine and dry weather for the opening ceremony of the 2009 East Asian Games tomorrow evening (5 December), with temperatures in urban areas around 18 degrees. Following the strengthening of easterly winds on Sunday (6 December), the weather will turn cloudy early next week with a few light rain patches. Winds will subside later in the week and the weather will become sunnier. The Observatory will maintain close contact with relevant government departments and the 2009 East Asian Games (Hong Kong) Limited to provide weather information for the East Asian Games and associated events.
