The team was commended for their whole-hearted effort in coordinating the celebration of the 15th Anniversary of “Science in the Public Service” (SIPS) Campaign with  fourteen government departments and Radio Television Hong Kong to produce a TV documentary series showcasing the application of science and latest technologies in enhancing work efficiency and service quality.  Their contributions have greatly enhanced the image of the department.

The team was commended for their whole-hearted effort in preparing and setting up of an Interim-Airport Meteorological Office (I-AMO) in Hong Kong International Airport to support the Interim-two Runway System of the three-Runway System Project.  The project was completed timely under their effective monitoring.  Their contributions have greatly enhanced the efficiency of the department.

The team was commended for their whole-hearted effort in repairing the weather radar at Tai Mo Shan (TMSWR) and worked tirelessly day and night over the weekend. Their dedication, professionalism and excellent problem-solving skills have made the TMSWR back to normal operation on-time for monitoring the approach of tropical cyclone Rai. Their contributions have greatly enhanced the efficiency of the department.

The colleague was commended for the strong sense of responsibility and commitment displayed in his continual support to “MyObservatory” mobile application even after he was deployed to another team to provide round-the-clock support to another system. His contributions had enhanced the image and efficiency of the department.
