The Hong Kong Observatory won ICT Awards

The Hong Kong Observatory won the Certificate of Merit (Consumer Solutions) prize in the Best Mobile Apps Award in the Hong Kong Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Award 2017 with its mobile app “MyObservatory”. The Hong Kong ICT Awards aims at recognising and promoting outstanding ICT inventions and applications, thereby encouraging innovation and excellence among Hong Kong’s talents and enterprise in their constant pursuit of creative and better solutions to meet business and social needs. The awards were presented at Cyberport on 30 March.

The “MyObservatory” is a personalized weather app providing a suit of weather services including location-based service. It was highly popular and stayed at the top of the list of most popular weather apps since its launch in 2010. The “MyObservatory” was completely revamped in 2015 to 2016 with a significant increase in functionality and also supported Apple Watch wearable device.

The "MyObservatory" is a free app. Users are welcome to download at the following links ( iOS ; Android ; Windows Phone ), or the app store of respective platforms.
