The Observatory supporting the Equestrian Events of the 2010 Asian Games

The Equestrian Events of the 2010 Asian Games will be held at Conghua, Guangzhou in November 2010. To ensure the provision of quality weather services for the events, a delegation from the Guangdong Meteorological Bureau (GMB) came to the Observatory in June to learn about our experience in providing weather services for the Olympic Equestrian Events. With the support of the Observatory, GMB successfully implemented the Observatory's in-house built "Heat Stress Monitoring System" in August. The system is now under test at GMB's Headquarters in Guangzhou.
