Observatory officer speaking to senior government officers on Climate Change

Under the "Science in the Public" Campaign, Mr LEUNG Wing-mo, Acting Assistant Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, delivered a talk on the hot topic of "Climate Change" on 29 October 2007. The occasion was attended by over 100 directorates and senior officers in the government.

The event, "Lecture Series for Senior Management", was co-organized by Census and Statistics Department and the Civil Service Training and Development Institute of the Civil Service Bureau. Mr Frederick MA, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, delivered the keynote speech for the event, while Mr FUNG Hing-wang, Commissioner of the Census and Statistics, inaugurated it.

During the lectures, professionals from various departments explained their scientific work and elaborated the importance of their work on policy making.
