"Science in the Public Service" won 2nd runner-up of "Partnership Award" in civil service award scheme

The "Science in the Public Service" campaign won the second-runner up in the "Partnership Award" in the Civil Service Outstanding Service Award Scheme 2007. The award was voted by LegCo and District Council members and was presented by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang on 13 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The "Science in the Public Service" campaign is jointly organised by a number of government departments. The objective is, through a wide variety of activities, to let people know more about scientific work of various government bureaux and departments, and the application of science and technology in providing services. The campaign was inaugurated in early 2006. The number of campaign partners has since increased to 43, including government bureaux and departments and other collaborating organisations.
