HKO Director launches the Tsuen Wan Automatic Weather Station

Mr. C.Y. Lam, Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, officiated at the opening ceremony of the Tsuen Wan Automatic Weather Station on 25 April 2006. The station is jointly built and operated by the Hong Kong Observatory and the Sik Sik Yuen sponsored Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre.

The automatic weather station is equipped with instruments for measuring temperature, relative humidity and rainfall. It provides the public with weather information for the Tsuen Wan area to facilitate the planning of their activities according to the latest weather conditions.
