"Science in the Public Service" Campaign student project competition finale

The awards presentation ceremony of the student project competition entitled "Climate Change - What can we do?" was held on 28 June 2008 at the Hong Kong Science Museum. The "Science in the Public Service" campaign as the organizer invited Mr Dominic LEUNG, Acting Commissioner for Census and Statistics, and Dr Rebecca LEE, the polar expert, to be the guests of honour. During the ceremony, one of the judges, Professor NG Cho-nam of the University of Hong Kong, commented on the students' work. This was followed by winners of the primary and secondary school categories sharing their experience with the audience. Mr Kurt CHAN, the "International Climate Champion" representing Hong Kong reported what he had seen at the G8 summit in Japan. The ceremony was attended by an enthusiastic crowd of about 200.
