The Honourable Company of Air Pilots visited the Observatory

Delegates from the Honourable Company of Air Pilots (formerly Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators), led by Squadron Leader Chris Ford, the Master and Dr. Lily Fenn, Chair of Hong Kong Region, visited the Observatory on 4 December 2015.

During the visit, the Observatory introduced the latest thrusts in Aviation Weather Services. The delegates were impressed by the Observatory’s efforts in delivering quality service through close stakeholder engagement and utilisation of advanced technology, as well as active participation in the international arena.

The visit provided an invaluable opportunity for exchange of views on the latest regional and global trends of meteorological services in support of aviation and reinforced collaboration between the two organizations.
