The Observatory winning three prizes under the Civil Service Outstanding Service Award

The Hong Kong Observatory won three prizes under the Civil Service Outstanding Service Award Scheme 2015, ranked third among departments in terms of number of awards. The awards were:
The Civil Service Outstanding Service Award Scheme, organised by the Civil Service Bureau, aims to recognise the efforts of government departments and teams in providing outstanding services to the community, promote a customer-focused culture and inspire civil servants to continuously strive for excellence in service delivery. It is very encouraging to win the awards among all the departments.
The Observatory moves with the times by continuing to explore new frontiers and to improve its existing services for excellence. The Observatory has always valued external communication to care the needs of different users with provision of user-oriented weather information. The Observatory's exchanges and cooperation with members of the public and different sectors of society improve its services and their applications.
The Award Presentation Ceremony was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 4 September. More details can be found on the Civil Service Bureau's web page:
