10 Years Plus Caring Organisation

30 April 2015

The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) has been awarded the "Caring Organisation" again under the "Caring Organisation Scheme 2014/15". This is the tenth consecutive year that HKO has received the Award and the first time HKO is awarded a "10 Years Plus Caring Organisation" logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). The "Caring Organization Scheme" developed by HKCSS aims to build a cohesive society by inspiring corporate social responsibility through caring for the community, employees and the environment.

HKO is awarded the "Caring Organisation" in recognition of its achievements in promoting and supporting voluntary work among its employees through the "HKO Volunteers"; encouraging donation in any format to social service bodies; providing safe and healthy working environment to employees; nurturing a family-friendly culture for employees through a series of family-oriented policies and activities; and promoting awareness in environmental protection and actively participating in related initiatives.
