Meteorological instruments -- Measurement of Atmospheric Pressure

Electronic Barometer

Electronic Barometer

Most barometers of recent design make use of transducers which transform the sensor response into a pressure-related electrical quantity in the form of either analogue signals or digital signals.

Digital Pressure Gauge is a kind of electronic barometer, which is now used at King's Park Meteorological Station and some automatic weather stations to provide real-time atmospheric pressure readings.  As the digital pressure gauge is equipped with a  communication interface, pressure readings recorded by this gauge at remote site can be telemetered to the Observatory Headquarters via telephone lines.
