The Observatory and the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association (SCHSA) would hold a joint press conference every year when cold weather is on its way, to remind the public to take appropriate precautions against the significant drop in temperature. The elderly and persons with chronic medical conditions should pay special attention to the possible health impacts arising from the significant temperature drop and the big temperature difference between day and night.
