Science in the Public Service

The symposium and essay competition are two major activities of the "Science in the Public Service" campaign. The purpose of the activities is to enhance understanding of the achievements and application of science and technology by government departments in the provision of public service.

The symposium will be held at the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Science Museum on 27 April 2006. Over 10 senior professionals in the civil service will deliver talks during the symposium. Deadline for registration is 18 March 2006.

There is no restriction to the title of entries of the essay competition, but the content shall relate to science and technology and their application in the public service. Deadline for submission is 14 July 2006.
