Introduction:



The HKO e-Bulletin on Educational Resources is published on-line every three months. It covers in layman terms various interesting topics related to weather phenomena and popular science, as well as the latest developments in science and technology related to the Observatory's service on meteorology, radiation and geophysics. We welcome your views and suggestions.

The content of this issue is rich with articles covering various topics including "Butterfly Effect, Model Ensemble and Probabilistic Forecast", "Where is the coldest place in Hong Kong on average? Why?", "Needle ice growing up from soil", "Weather Observation" and "Formulation of Weather Forecasts" etc. Selected Observatory's video clips are also included.
