Introduction:

The HKO e-Bulletin on Educational Resources is published on-line every three months. It covers in layman terms various interesting topics related to weather phenomena and popular science, as well as developments in new science and technology related to the Observatory's service. From this edition onward, more Observatory's colleagues are bolstering the mission of public education and contributing articles to the e-Bulletin with knowledge on meteorology, radiation and geophysics. We welcome your views and suggestions.

This issue takes a new way forward with "radiation" as the theme. A number of articles are written about related natural science events and phenomena in such topic. Also, some abstract aspects of nuclear physics and astrophysics are introduced in an easier-to-understand approach. Some articles written by stages, such as "The classification and nomenclature of clouds" and "Tracking of tropical cyclones", continues. Also, the items of "Geomagnetism" and "Astronomical Photo Album on the Web" are newly added in this issue. This issue is rich in content. Readers can browse it in detail and read the articles leisurely with fun.
