Thai Meteorologists Visiting the Observatory

In June and July, two groups of meteorologists from the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) visited the Hong Kong Observatory. The visits focus on the operational aspect of our Airport Meteorological Office, with specific interest in the set up of meteorological equipment, the development of aviation-specific weather forecasting tools and our experience in the provision of customer services. Mr. Khovadhana, the Deputy Director-General of TMD concluded that: "It is a rewarding visit and the knowledge and experience so obtained are useful to us for improving our capability to meet the challenges in the future".
