Briefing on HKO Aviation Weather Services

HKO News Bulletin for the Aviation Community (37th Issue)

The Observatory conducted its annual Briefing on Aviation Weather Services on 10 March 2017 at the Auditorium of CAD Headquarters. About 70 representatives from the local aviation industry attended the Briefing. Latest developments of windshear and turbulence alerting service, forecast products for significant convection and tropical cyclones, as well as the Aviation Meteorological Information Dissemination System (AMIDS) were presented in the event. The briefing was well received by the participants. In a post-event evaluation, most of the participants indicated that the briefing was useful.
