HKIA Weather Information Dissemination through Twitter

To provide important weather information through a more efficient and convenient means to aviation mobile users, the Observatory has launched a new service of disseminating HKIA related weather warnings and information via Twitter platform since January 2012.

Alert messages will be sent promptly to registered users using Twitter whenever Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (including Pre-No.8 Special Announcement and HKIA Precautionary Announcement), HKIA Aerodrome Warning has been issued, updated or cancelled by the Observatory.

User of this service can also enjoy the flexibility of login to their registered Twitter accounts on various devices, such as PCs and mobile phones, simultaneously and free-of-charge.
