Visit of the Delegation from Thai Meteorological Department to the Observatory

A delegate of four persons from Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) led by Mr. Burin Wechbunthung, Deputy Director-General for Operations, visited the Observatory on 5-6 July 2016. During the visit, the Observatory and the delegates from TMD discussed furthering the co-operation in the priority areas of aviation weather services such as MET services in support to ATM, Competency Assessment System and coordinated SIGMET issuance. The delegation also visited the Airport Meteorological Office to appreciate the Observatory's operational work on aviation weather monitoring and forecasting. The visit reinforced the collaboration between the two organizations.
