Refresher lectures to local aviators

Every year, to better prepare for the coming rain and typhoon season, HKO delivered a series of refresher lectures to our aviation users and partners. Tailored lectures were given to the local aviators of the general aviation community as they are more susceptible to weather changes since they fly under the Visual Flight Rule. On the evening of 31 March 2015, our seasoned aviation forecaster, Mr Paul Ho, Acting Chief Experiment Officer of Aviation Forecast and Warning Services division shared his insights on local bad weather including thunderstorms, low visibility and regional variation with members of the Hong Kong Aviation Club. It is hoped that with better weather awareness through these refreshers, local flying activities would be safer and even more enjoyable.
