Pilots from Cathay Pacific Airways Limited visited the Hong Kong Observatory

A group of pilots from Cathay Pacific Airways Limited visited the Hong Kong Observatory on 6 March 2015, a rare chance for them to see the instruments even though they might come across a lot of meteorological reports. They showed keen interest in the surface pressure charts hand analysed by weather forecasters, and were amazed by the capability of the latest numerical weather prediction model products. After the visit, discussions with Observatory staffs were made on existing and future provision of aviation weather information and services.
