Briefing on HKO Aviation Weather Services

The Observatory conducted its annual Briefing on Aviation Weather Services on 13 March 2015 at the Auditorium of the CAD Headquarters. About 70 representatives from the local aviation industry attended the event. Observatory colleagues presented the latest updates of windshear and turbulence alerting service, forecast products for significant convection and tropical cyclones, as well as the Aviation Meteorological Information Dissemination System (AMIDS). The briefing was well received by the participants. In a post-event evaluation, most of the replies indicted that the briefing was useful.
