"Cool Met Stuff": Hong Kong Observatory 140th Anniversary – Past and Present

It has been 140 years since the establishment of the Hong Kong Observatory in 1883. Early operations of the Observatory mainly included meteorological observations, time service, geomagnetic observations and tropical cyclone warning service. Since then, the Observatory’s services have evolved in pace with the advancement of the modern society. The latest episode of “Cool Met Stuff” will introduce the background of the establishment of the Observatory and its evolution over the years.
