Gridded weather forecasts and visibility observation are now available on “Weather Website for Greater Bay Area”

9 March 2022

The “Weather Website for Greater Bay Area (GBA)” is enhanced today (9 March 2022) with the addition of gridded weather forecasts, to provide better location-specific forecast services. By clicking a grid box on the map, users can view 3-hourly or 6-hourly forecasts of weather, temperatures, relative humidity, wind direction and wind speed for the next few days. The newly added forecast information for more than 600 grid boxes are provided by Guangdong Meteorological Service, Hong Kong Observatory, and Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau.

Meanwhile, real-time weather observation information on the website is enhanced with the provision of visibility observations over the GBA.

As a joint project by the three meteorological services, the “Weather Website for GBA” is a one-stop portal of weather information for the area, with a view to delivering convenient and reliable weather services with quality for citizens who commute within the region.

The address of “Weather Website for GBA” is https://www.gbaweather.net/en.
