A new version of the Automatic Regional Weather Forecast service

The Hong Kong Observatory launched a new version of the “Automatic Regional Weather Forecast in Hong Kong & Pearl River Delta Region” service today (18 January 2021). The web portal utilizes responsive web design. Whether the user access the service on a desktop, mobile phone or tablet, the webpage will automatically adjust the display layout according to the device being used.

Furthermore, the rainfall and lightning nowcasts in the new web portal incorporate three-dimensional display and animation. Users can adjust the position and viewing angle of the forecast image via mouse or keyboard.
