"Cool Met Stuff" : Hong Kong Meridian (2): Dr. Stephen Davis and Mysterious Magic Stone

6 December 2019

The Hong Kong meridian was established in the earliest days of Hong Kong. According to the documents at that period, the associated meridian marks were set up at the Headquarters of the Hong Kong Observatory and Wan Chai on the Hong Kong Island.  Does the meridian mark located on the Hong Kong Island still exist after more than a hundred years? Let's join Dr. Stephen Davis, maritime expert and former Director of the Hong Kong Maritime Museum, to search for the clues in this new episode of "Cool Met Stuff".

The video is now available on the "MyObservatory" mobile application and the Observatory's website for your viewing (programme is broadcasted in Cantonese).
