Tropical cyclone warnings during the passage of typhoons York, Ellen and Hope

Historical powerful typhoons are collective memories of Hong Kong residents. The Hong Kong Observatory has enriched the content of the webpage on typhoons that have necessitated the issuance of the Hurricane Signal Number 10, with the aim of providing more information on historical typhoons and in particular providing a channel to those who wishes to access the past tropical cyclone warnings for nostalgic reason. 

Local tropical cyclone warnings of Signal No. 8 or above issued by the Observatory during the passages of typhoons York (1999), Ellen (1983) and Hope (1979) are now available on the following webpage:

In addition, recordings of the radio broadcast of the local tropical cyclone warning bulletins for Signal No. 8 or above (in Cantonese only) issued by the Observatory during the passage of Typhoon Ellen in 1983 is also available at the following webpage:
