A New Episode of "Cool Met Stuff" (2019-03-08)

8 March 2019

The 2011 Japan earthquake triggered a catastrophic tsunami and nuclear accident. Over 3000 kilometers from epicenter, a rumour spread quickly claiming that salt could resist radiation and triggered a run on iodide salt in Hong Kong. The latest episode of "Cool Met Stuff" will review why this happened and debunk the myths behind. The video is now available on the "MyObservatory" mobile application and the Observatory's website for your viewing (programme is broadcasted in Cantonese).
