Hong Kong Observatory participated in the Joint Working Group Meeting of Asian Aviation Meteorological Center

The 12th Joint Working Group Meeting of the Asian Aviation Meteorological Center (AAMC) was successfully held in Zhuhai on 8 May 2026. Nearly 40 representatives from the Air Traffic Management Bureau of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC ATMB), the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), and the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) gathered for the meeting to advance collaborative efforts in enhancing aviation weather services.

The meeting summarised the progress of each party’s work and their operational status. Through joint research studies, data sharing and coordinated meteorological services, the three parties deepened their strategic collaboration in aviation meteorology and formulated key priorities for the coming year, aiming to bolster the service capabilities and regional influence of AAMC, thereby contributing to safer and more efficient aviation across the region.
