Observatory’s colleagues participated in the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Association Asia Pacific Regional Meeting

At the invitation of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Association (IFATCA), Mr. Kok Mang-hin Marco, Senior Scientific Officer, and Mr. Chan Yan-chun Ira, Scientific Officer of the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) attended the 41^st IFATCA Asia Pacific Regional Meeting held on 20 October 2025 in Macao. During the meeting, Mr. Kok and Mr. Chan shared the Observatory's aeronautical meteorological services in supporting air traffic management and aerodrome operations, and introduced successful examples of collaboration with the Civil Aviation Department (CAD), demonstrating the Observatory's continuous efforts to enhance aviation safety and efficiency through innovative weather services. The conference brought together approximately a hundred aviation professionals from about 15 countries and regions, with focused discussions on airport operational safety and technological innovations under various adverse weather conditions.
