Observatory’s colleague visiting Meteorological Service Singapore for exchanges

The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO)’s Scientific Officer, Dr. Danice Yin-lam Ng visited the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) on 1 August 2025. She conducted in-depth discussions with MSS colleagues on enhancing bilateral collaboration, focusing on key areas including the World Meteorological Organization’s Aviation Research and Development Project – Phase 2 (AvRDP2) and the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Hazardous Weather Information Service. During the visit, Dr. Ng also toured the Central Forecast Office of MSS to understand its operations and engage in technical exchanges. This visit marked a step forward in strengthening the partnership between HKO and MSS, paving the way for collaborative efforts to advance meteorological science and service delivery in the region.
