International Air Cadet Exchange Programme 2025

The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) fosters the career development of young aviation talents through professional exchanges and visits. On 14 July 2025, the Observatory welcomed seventeen participants and instructors from China, France and the Republic of Korea for the ‘International Air Cadet Exchange Programme 2025’. HKO’s aviation meteorology specialists delivered lectures covering aviation meteorology, operational weather forecasting and warning systems. The participants also visited the Meteorological Garden, Central Forecasting Office and Studio to understand HKO’s end-to-end delivery of weather service. As the designated meteorological authority in one of the world’s aviation hub, the Observatory is committed to cultivating the next generation of aviation professionals through international partnership and training.
