At the signing ceremony, Dr CHAN said, “I strongly believe that the synergy of our continued cooperation will enhance our aviation weather services.  Through the active exchanges made possible by this expanded MOU on cooperation, we will jointly contribute to the safety and efficiency of international civil air navigation in the Asia and Pacific Region.”

Mr HIRIASIA said, “This MOU is more than just a document. It is a testament to our shared vision and commitment to excellence in meteorological services. It symbolises our collective effort to build a safer, more resilient world for all.”

HKO and SIMS first signed the MOU on cooperation in 2022. Under the expanded MOU, the two parties will collaborate further, including experience sharing on the quality management system and ICAO aeronautical information management.
