Observatory Staff received the Secretary for the Civil Service's Commendation

Mr Cheng Tsz-lo, Senior Experimental Officer, received the Secretary for the Civil Service's Commendation on 2 November 2017 for his long-standing meritorious performance over the years.

Mr Cheng consistently delivers excellent performance in the development and operation of various information technology, computer networking, databases and forecast systems in the Hong Kong Observatory that support mission-critical weather forecasting services.

The Secretary for the Civil Service’s Commendation Award Scheme, first introduced in 2004, gives recognition to civil servants who consistently deliver outstanding performance. A total of 100 civil service colleagues received the awards under the Scheme in 2017.
