(9 July 2002)

Starting tomorrow (July 10), rainfall information for Guangdong and adjacent areas will be made available to the public through the Hong Kong Observatory website.

In response to the growing interest of the public on droughts and floods in Guangdong and adjacent areas, the Hong Kong Observatory will launch new web pages to provide rainfall information for 11 cities in the area. These cities include Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, Shantou, Shanwei, Heyuan, Shaoguan, Yangjiang, Zhanjiang, Haikou and Xiamen.
