At 8 a.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 27 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 93 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.5. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

On the present forecast track, the tropical depression over the central part of the South China Sea will maintain a distance of over 400 km away from Hong Kong today and move in the general direction of Hainan Island and western Guangdong. Squally showers associated with the tropical depression will affect the coastal areas of Guangdong. The Observatory will consider issuing the Standby Signal, No.1 during the day.
