At 2 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 33 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 69 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 11. The intensity of UV radiation was extreme. The public is advised to avoid prolonged exposure under the sun to prevent damage to skin and eyes.

The Thunderstorm Warning was issued at 2:15 p.m. It will remain effective until 3:30 p.m. today. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to occur over New Territories.
The Very Hot Weather Warning is now in force. Very hot weather might cause adverse health effects. Members of the public should take care to avoid heatstroke.
