The Hong Kong Observatory launches a new face of "Local Weather" over the GovWiFi Network (http://www.gov.hk/en/theme/wifi/program/index.htm) on 5 February 2010.

 
Members of the public can reach the new webpage by connecting their mobile devices to the GovWiFi captive portal at any of the GovWiFi premises (http://www.gov.hk/en/theme/wifi/new/launched.htm), pressing the link "Local Weather" under "Site Information".

 
In addition to air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, the new webpage provides real-time weather photograph, gusts and lightning location information in their vicinity.
