9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: A broad trough of low pressure will bring unsettled weather to the northern part of the South China Sea today. The trough of low pressure is expected to edge closer to the coast of southern China gradually today and tomorrow. An area of low pressure may develop over the trough of low pressure. Under the influence of the low pressure system, there will be heavy showers and squally thunderstorms over the region midweek this week. An active southwesterly airstream will bring showers to the coast of Guangdong in the latter part of this week to early next week.
